Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Apex E-Learn ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our platform. This includes personal data you provide about yourself as a parent or guardian, and personal data you provide about your child in connection with enrollment.

From parents/guardians:

• Email address and password (for account creation)
• Phone / WhatsApp number
• Country of residence
• Support messages you send us

About your child:

• Name and age
• Enrollment and track selection information
• Placement assessment results, once completed

Payment information:

We do not directly collect or store your card or bank account details. Payments are processed by Paystack, and we retain only transaction references, amounts, and status (e.g., successful, pending, failed) for record-keeping and support purposes.

• To create and manage your account and your child's enrollment
• To process payments and maintain accurate billing records
• To schedule and provide access to live classes
• To communicate with you about your account, enrollment, and classes (including by email and WhatsApp/phone where provided)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the Platform and the quality of our tracks

We only collect and process a child's personal data with the explicit, verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, obtained at the point of registration. Parents may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us, which may result in the child's enrollment being paused or ended.

We share personal data only as necessary with the following categories of service providers:

• Paystack — to process payments
• Resend — to send transactional emails (account confirmations, enrollment confirmations, class schedule updates)
• Instructors and administrators — limited to information needed to deliver and manage classes (e.g., child's name, age, enrolled track)
• Zoom / Google Meet — solely to the extent necessary to host live classes you or your child join

We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not share personal data for third-party advertising purposes.

Personal data is stored in a secured, access-controlled database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard methods. Access to administrative tools (including support tickets, enrollment records, and payment history) is restricted to authorized personnel only.

We retain account and enrollment data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. If you request account or child data deletion, we will remove or anonymize the relevant data except where retention is required by law (for example, financial transaction records).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you or your child
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent for your child's data processing at any time
• Object to certain uses of your data

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management (for example, to keep you signed in). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Where our service providers (such as Paystack or Resend) process data outside your country of residence, we take reasonable steps to ensure that data is handled in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated by email or through your dashboard. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
